Can't leave the official PAYDAY 2 group, please help

I only joined it a while back to help with the crimefest event, but now I wanna leave it but I cant.

Its not under my groups page: http://steamcommunity.com/id/FriendlyNeighborhoodButcher/groups

but I keep getting the posts in my feed and popups. Its also shown under the "group" section of the friends list, where if i click leave group it just takes me to my groups page but I cant actually leave it because its not there.

anyone have any idea how i can leave it?

Well, you know that leaving a criminal organization is never easy?

Either way, they changed the "game group" stuff quite a bit a while ago. Go to your game list, click the "following" tab. The group will be there, complete with a "stop following" button.

Finally. I am so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick to death of all the event spam I get from this group. Jesus. Not being able to click on the group page and just block notifications or something pissed me off. Finally after maybe 50 of these I got so fed up I searched around for a solution. Thanks again @Kargor

Go to your library, click on payday 2 and on the far right under links you should see "Community Hub". Click that and at the top of the page where it tells you how many people are in game and the group chat you should see "stop following" click it and boom you're free.
