Singstar microphone and steam!

Hi, i want to ask: How can i use singstar microphone with steam? because i tried to use it. steam relieves it, but when i do the microphone test i can't hear nothing. How can i fix this?

P.S. Sorry for my bad english, i'm italian but i can understand english.
