How to change steam custom url?
I have a custom url that I don't like, is it possible for me to change it back to my steamid64 instead? (original numbers)

Edit: +Try to delete your custom url, i mean leave that space empty. Maybe it'll work

tried to do that, and it comes up saying that a blank custom url is invalid

If it won't let you remove the custom URL and save then no, it's not possible. Just make your custom the same as your steamid.

So, if someone makes a custom URL can they change it again later to what ever they want or is the first custom URL a permanent thing and you can't change it at all after?

Like I said in that 2015 post above, you can change it.

You cannot opt-out of using custom URLs after you've first set up one though.

You can change as many times as you want. Bear in mind that anywhere that you have posted your custom profile URL, those links will be broken (or will redirect to whichever user claims the previous URL). Only Steam ID64 remains permanent.

This.

Wherever the link requires sustainability, it's recommended to toss in the -- / profiles/<SteamID64> instead.

For example, for me while I have the custom URL for
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Teutep

This is a more permanent link, which leads to my profile as well (non-custom URL):
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198000720538

ok. But how do you find the 2nd link/your steam profile ID when you have a custom URL?
Via third party websites like http://steamid.io or by using i.e. the /?xml=1 -suffix.

Your profile (it feels a little silly considering your URL still includes your ID64):
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198086427551/?xml=1
<steamID64>76561198086427551</steamID64>

You on SteamID.io (in this context, you'd pay attention to ID64),
steamID
STEAM_0:1:63080911
steamID3
[U:1:126161823]
steamID64
76561198086427551
