Use the "Hide from library" option when you categorize games
Free games on Steam are not automatically added to your library, as far as I know. Not unless you go and download them.
There are occasionally "free weekends" that add normally non-free games to your library so you can play them for free over a weekend, but they are relatively uncommon, and they go away automatically after the free weekend.
If free and/or f2p games are suddenly popping up in your library, and you're not the one downloading them, then you may have malware on your computer.
The ONLY games that are added automatically are free weekends, but this is only for a few days. They are removed when the free weekend is over.

With the possible exception of the Rising Storm games (which sound familiar but don't look familiar), I have not selected any of these games for my Library. I was afraid my account had been hacked and I had paid for these games, but that is not the case either. I haven't paid for any of them. Some are F2P, others are not. I'm the only person that uses or has access to this computer or my Steam account, unless it has somehow been hacked.
But they are ALL in my library, though they are now all hidden.
If you tried to run one of the games that you don't actually own then you would get a warning telling you that you can't play it wihtout buying it, and I think it suggests that you can have the other user share the game with you.
The only people that might have done that would be a local PC repair shop that I've been doing business with for years and am personal friends with everyone. But you bring up a good point and I'll ask them about it, because they have done some repairs this fall.
Not sure if that answers your question or not.
