How do i get my serial numbers?

I just downloaded all my games in my library, and now I can't find my activation/serial numbers. How do I go about getting the serial numbers resent to me?

Most games do not have serial numbers. If they do, the game item in the library will have a menu item "View CD key", or it will spam you every time you run it (which is very annoying).

If you mean the ones Steam gives you to enter into the game, you should be able to see them the normal way.

If you added the games through Steam using those keys you can't see them again and you don't need to.

I downloaded Batman Arkham City, and when I was trying to launch it; it had asked for a serial number. I got the game free with the purchase of my laptop. I looked back in my e-mail history, but I couldn't find it. I haven't tried my other games yet, but when I played Dirt 3 a few months back Steam gave me the key I needed, and all I had to do was copy and paste.

I'm somewhat irritated that Batman Arkham City still wants a key, but then again, I haven't played it yet. I thought that would be history when they removed Games for Windows Live.

But, as I said, such keys can be gotten from the library entry via the "View CD key" menu entry.

Are you sure you don't have the GOTY edition in your list?

I have both, and the GOTY crashes to desktop every time I try to play. So i am seeing if having Batman Arkham City installed then GOTY if that helps the CTD.

That is a shame, the GOTY version has more DLC, no keys, trading cards, ect.

Since trades do not require a serial number or anything remotely similar like that, it's obviously a scam of some sort. Trades involve putting his item and your item into a trade offer and sending it to the other person, that's it.
