Payment Verification

I've recently put money towards Steam Wallet, in order to purchase 'xyz' from the Steam Market, however - I get prompted with the message below;

"You've recently funded your Steam Wallet using an unverified credit card that has had a recent increase in use. While the new funds are being verified, you'll be unable to use the Community Market. You can verify the funds now, or wait until the restriction is automatically removed on 13/10/2014 16:58:35."

So I've tried doing the manual verification to bypass the waiting period, but when I get to the page where it asks me to enter the 2 payments, I'm a bit lost. I've checked my bank account online (HSBC) but I have not seen anything in regards to a pending authorization from Steam.

I'm not sure where to go from here, as I'm preferably looking to make a purchase on a date prior to when the waiting period ends.

As I have not come across this specific issue of manually verifying your payment method, I suggest waiting for the restriction to end which is only a few days away. Sorry I could not be of better assistance.

Would you know if there is perhaps a certain period of time that has to pass for it to show up on my bank status, or is it supposed to be instantaneous?

No problem. I'm guessing it would be instantaneous, but don't hold me on that one, you'll just have to wait.

wtf i just got this error and i have been adding 5$ at a time for the past couple of weeks and never seen this till now....not cool steam

this happens to me every time when i add money to my account using my CC.

You can only do it by calling them not on the online banking.

You need to check pending transfers that Steam is trying to take. If you spot the 2 Steam sent, you input it in there and it will cancel the pending withdraw from your account and you will be free from the restriciton.
