Fallout 3 not working? This may help
Because Fallout 3 was made on older operating systems it is not as compatible with newer OS's such as windows 7-8 and so on. If this is your problem try this quick fix. Locate the application file for the game. This can be found in one of the following folders depending on which version of the game you use:
Retail versions: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3
Steam versions: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Fallout 3
Right-click on the application file and select Properties.
Click on the Compatibility tab.
Check the box Run this program in compatibility mode. Hope this helps some people out there~!

and for some people it works out of the box on Windows 7, like for me.

If people need help with Fallout 3, they'll probably ask or view the hubs in which there's a pinned thread on how to get Fallout 3 to work.

Alot of users encounter this problem like myself for example. Especially if you bought it over steam and not the CD version. Also this is under the "Help and Tips" tab. I'm just trying to help some people out, and I feel as though your comment was slightly innapropriate and unecessary.

Maybe so, but if you put Fallout 3 topics here, then people can do the same with literally every other game.

This is why the games have their own discussions tabs.

Yes However newer users to steam may not know how to find them making this a little more convenient. And since Fallout is having their sale I am sure many users wil encounter this problem and flock to the Disscusions for fixes.

While I understand the perspective you've got going, I think most people who are going to look for fixes regarding a specific game, are going to check the hubs.

Those who are going to look for them on Help & Tips are more likely to actually make new threads before they read there's pre-existing ones. (Not saying the same doesn't happen on gamehub side from time to time.)

I also see your perspective as well. However as stated previously it was just to help some people. (I have also posted it on fallout 3's hubs as well)
