Launch option command to run game in Admin mode?
Are there any launch commands that run games as an Admin? I know you can just set up a shortcut and do it with Windows, but this won't be for my machine and would like something a bit more permanent so the owner won't have to worry about fixing it.

Set __COMPAT_LAYER=RunAsInvoker
(Works on 1 part setups or separated parts, if they ask for your permission twice after the first intallation you can search for another solution)
Alternative:
Run Program With Shift+Enter (when marked a program)
Alt 2:
Download Extractor and compress without admin file.
Hope it helped!!
If its cracked games on school pcs!? Dont, they are watching...
How to pop up "Steam Administrative Tool v017??

Right click on the game in steam library, click properties, click set launch options, and put this in there "runas.exe/user:administrator".
doesn't work
Simple. Find the game in steam. Properties. Local Files. Browse Local Files. Find the .exe. Right click. Properties. Compatibility. Tick Run as administrator.

actually helped.
Thanks
You guys keep saying the same steps either applied to Steam.exe or the game.exe, but no where is there a Compatibility tab. Does not exist. I am not looking at the shortcut. I went to the game files, either by finding them myself or through the Steam client, am not looking at the .dll. But Compatibility is not there. Trust me. I can actually read. I'm very frustrated with hearing these same steps more than once. I can't get audio to capture correctly without admin access on the games and I just spent more than hour messing with audio settings (either I get the echo or I don't have desktop audio) and trying the admin fix (which works for non-Steam games), but nothing is working. Admin access is not available through this traditional method with my Steam games, which I've used on my non-Steam games. Any new thoughts?
Please try reading the reply instead of sending redundant replies that do not help solve the issue (trying to run as admin but Compatibility tab is not available). It's. Not. There. I've got it on other programs, but not my Steam games. Like I said, I can read. I asked for a new thought but sadly was denied. Instead I got an old, unhelpful one that's been said many, many times on this thread.

THE ACTUAL SOLUTION!
I found a way around this, as in a real solution instead of this circle of not listening and assumption of idiocy through the repetitious statement of what any gamer should know already. If Compatibility was there, yeah, I'd obviously go there. Instead: what you need to do if the Compatibility tab is NOT showing on the exe Properties is
1. Go to Windows Settings (i.e. for 8 and later),
2. Search for "Run programs made for previous versions" which will open the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter (PCT),
3. Click next,
4. Search for the game in the list given, click "not listed" (it most likely won't be) and browse to the exe,
5. Select game.exe and click open,
6. Click next,
7. Click Troubleshoot Program,
8. Select "This program requires additional permissions",
9. Click next, it will give Run as administrator as the new setting,
10. Click "Test the program" (this is a good time to check with your recording software),
11. Click next,
12. Click "Yes, save these settings for this program",
13. Close the PCT or choose another game that you need to run as admin.
I tested this solution and it applies admin on all launches afterwards and fixes the recording issue if that's what you were looking to solve.

In the future, please don't write to the OP like they are a moron. Assume that maybe, just maybe, they don't have the options that you see on your end. Windows is stupidly so different from user to user thanks to all the different builds and firmware that comes on all the various kinds of builds on which it can be utilized. I searched for this specifically, and it was infuriating that the responses were so unhelpful. If you can see Compatibility on your end or don't have more Windows funkiness experience, you're probably not the person to help with this and probably shouldn't reply at all.

I hope this solution works well for those of you who were also having this issue. I'm not a computer genius, but have some programming training, and this worked for me. I sincerely feel awful for you if this was plaguing you and you weren't getting the help you needed, as I wasn't either. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Make a screenshot of the properties window. Maybe the screenshot will provide a clue on why the compatibility tab is missing.

Could you take a picture of what you're looking at? If you don't have it, we could figure out how to fix it so that this isn't a problem in the future. This[imgur.com] is what it is supposed to look like on all versions of Windows, as far as I know.

https://imgur.com/a/XUhGhbp
-Right click on game in your steam library.
-Find Manage and Browse local files.
-At this point you may have to click through several folders to find the game exe
E.g. Borderlands 3 exe was in Steam/steamapps/common/Borderlands3/OakGame/Binaries/Win64
-Once you locate the exe right click on it and go to properties.
-Click on the compatibility tab.
-Select the checkbox for Run as Administrator.
-Click Okay or Apply
-Done
