Having issues trying to make any new purchases, using either Visa or Paypal gives the following error:
"This payment method is currently unavailable for use. We are working to resolve the issue. Please select another payment method for your purchase and try again."
Something wrong with the payment gateway at the moment?

Steam wallet and Mastercard don't work either and all I wanted to do was add the FREE Witcher 3 DLCs, but Steam insists on having to pay 0 euros breaking it all...

I am having the same problem only with Visa. Going on 6 days now. This is a payment method that has been used successfully to buy W3 a week ago. I also verified the CC. Just trying to download FREE DLCs for W3. Valve seems to have a tremendous amount of trouble keeping things up and running. It would be OK if there were some feedback. But, I feel I am only conversing with other disgruntled customers here. Hello? Anyone behind the digital counter?

Now I am having this same issue myself. Since yesterday. I was fine until yesterday then suddently last night when I went to make a purchase I got that same error message. Has there been any official acknowledgement from Steam about this issue? I did a search but only found a few user posts.

well turning 10 days now for me, also my ticket as well, with no reply, my dota friends were able to buy anything and top up their wallet with no problem except for me, i dunno what ever happen to my steam account it was fine last month but now im getting frustrated same as some of the users here.

Strangely enough it will allow me to purchase funds to put in my Steam Wallet (which if I attempt to use my wallet to purchase it also is giving me the same error saying it is unavailable). I can actually get to my Paypal login when adding funds to wallet which I then cancel out of. So buying games I am blocked from making the purchase because of that message but not my wallet? I cannot buy games using Steam Wallet, Visa, Amex and My Paypal. All of them give me the same notificiation. I have opened a Support ticket but I know how slowly those wheels turn. I have invested many thousands into Steam since I came on here. If I miss out on the Summer sale because of this not only will they be missing out on my funds but they will have a longstanding customer whose money has always been good here a might bit PO'd! ;)
