steam keeps asking for credit card when paying with paypal
I have 51 dollars in my paypal balance and whenever i try to add funds i keep getting asked to add a credit card. Other websites work and apparently other people have no problem using it with steam but i do.

Are those other people residing in the same geolocation as you? Australia in otherwords.

There's been threads about people who have required a verified Paypal account to buy content on Steam. i personally can use an unverified Paypal, so it's not an objectional requirement.

Yeah i was thinking that.
How exactly do you verify your paypal? i have a bank account linked but not a credit card, surely that is enough?

It should be enough, as long as it's been confirmed.
How Do I Become Verified?

well according to that i am verified (ive linked my bank and got the deposits ages ago) so have no clue what the problem is now. Maybe i will have to resort to using a credit card.

Just to make sure, out of the picture I put in the first post, you've only got the latter option?

No, i don't have that option.

What i see is something saying "This merchant doesn't accept non-instant bank payments. To continue with this purchase, please link a credit or debit card to your PayPal account."

And also an option telling me to add funds to my paypal balance, but i already have $51 in it

also, did you use the steam website or browser to get to that? I've tried both but never seen that menu before mine looks different and i dont have that option. Thanks for the help as well.

Mine was on the Steam -client. (I use PixelVision, thus the window's frames looks different.)

I took a look at one of the earlier threads: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/620713633843119218/

Seems to happen in a few other places too; or then it's something else than the geolocation.
R3LOAD from that thread is a member from 2010, so it surely isn't some 'new user' thing either. (Not that I thought it was, but wanted it out of the way.)
