Sort games by OS compatibility
Is there a quick and easy way to see which of my games will or will not be compatible with GNU/Linux?

Also does anyone know which distros work well with steam besides steamOS?

Though I would like to see a list of games I already own. I should have said sort steam library by OS.

So you are on windows right now and you want to check what games are linux compatible, without logging into steamos?

Enhanced Steam is a good pick, here's another one (one that doesn't need an extension.)

Sort out by Linux.

I checked out the steamgauge link and it all worked out. I didn't get the add on but still, thanks for trying to help.

I know this post is quite old. And I know that my english isn't that good. But I think I have a solution that might work for most people. But it isn't a perfect solution.
You have to go to the steam webpage (don't know if client is working too). Then click on the serarch bar on the upper right corner. There, you can sort shop games by OS. Chose your OS. Then hide with the boxes at the right all games on your wishlist, on sale etc exept for the games you own. Now, it should show you all games you own which are compatible with your choosen OS.
(PS: I use the Enhancesd Steam plugin for chrome. Maybe, you don't have these options to hide games)

Bit of an old post but Google sent me here when I was trying to find out so I'll contribute what I found:

SteamDB.info is a good resource for this. You can sort by Linux compatible and then toggle owned and un-owned games. So you can set it to show only your games. It does require linking your Steam account though. It's also a great way to sort through sales, especially when the large seasonal sales come around (which is why I was using it before this).

This website will also do it: http://www.lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/

You can filter include and exclude platforms from this filter but also include/exclude tags.
So you can see how many steampunk-coop-rts games for linux and windows but NOT mac you have for example.

Thanks, that resolved it just perfectly for me, and without any iffy logins on third-party sites or anything.

Still, and it gets asked for a lot: An in-house filter to sort your library by OS would be most welcome.

Edit, only noticed this "hidden" comment in the OP later, no idea why it was set to be hidden:

I realize the OP is very old, but anyway to those to whom it may be useful, I'm not aware any Linux distro should be better or unfit for it. I'll gladly hear otherwise, and that said, I use Linux Mint myself, and while I don't use it for gaming a lot, so far I've not run into any issues with it.

(Well, the one grand issue being that presumably since manufacturers at best release some generic drivers for the open-source community, your graphics card is not gonna be performing as up-to-speed as it might under Windows. Hence given the choice, my opting for Windows for my gaming, plus of course it allowing access to the far greater number of titles. If you can't or don't want to work under a dual-boot set-up, that's just how it's gonna be, I guess, and I'm sure Linux users are aware of it.

How this pans out for Mac users I don't know, not in the know there. My looking into this question was in fact by way of seeing how it would be to allow a Mac user family member access to my Steam library.)
