msvcr100.dll is missing. The Elder Scrolls Online
So I bought TESO from their official site, and it installed the launcher fine. But when I try to open it, windows throws "msvcr100.dll is missing. Reinstall the program to fix this problem"

I've looked this up and done everything Microsoft has told me to do. No luck :P

If anyone knows how to sort it out, that'd be amazing as I payed a lot of money for the game

You do have 64bit OS, correct?

msvcr100.dll is part of Visual C++ 2010 Runtimes; so you'll need to install this:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999
Download and install both the x86 and x64 versions.
After completed, reboot and try TESO again.

I'll try doing both x86 and x64 now. I've only tried the x64 version numerous times. Fingers crossed :o

64bit OS u need both versions; some games may only require one or the other, some need both versions when the game/app require a runtime of this sort and a particular OS. As TESO requires 64bit OS to run.

Nope, no luck. The x64 one installed fine and I already had the x86. I tried uninstalling the x86 and it just said "Doesn't apply".

I should mention that msvcr100.dll is in my computer but the game can't seem to find it

Ok back up. What said "Does not apply"
U got this as an error? From when u were doing what exactly?

If need be you could locate "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86" and also 2010 x64
within Control Panel > Programs and Features and Uninstall both.
Then reboot and re-install via the files u just downloaded from my provided link.

If that alone doesn't work then u may have other issues; such as .NET Framework or Windows Updates not being up-to-date. Also what are you using for GPU and that Driver version?

I tried to install the x86, and I get "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is inavailable." "Click OK to try again, or enter an alernate path to a folder containing the installation package 'vc_red.msi' in the box below".

Cancel is the only thing that works and when I click that, I get the normal installation. But this time it says Repair or Uninstall.

Repair didn't work so I tried to uninstall it and install it again.

If I try to uninstall, I get "Product does not apply.

Microsoft visual C++ x86 redistributable does not apply.

You can check for more recent versions of this package on the microsoft visual studio website."

Does your Windows User have full Admin rights. That can of course be an issue here and thus may not allow u to install/uninstall anything.

You may need to first get rid of the "2010" ones already listed in Programs and Features before trying to install the new.

Here's a list of helpful troubleshooting for TESO:

Ehh... I checked in programs and features and there's three 2005s, eight 2008s, two 2010s, two 2012s and two 2013s. Should I uninstall all of those?

As TESO requires the installation of those specific runtime libraries, no, don't uninstall them as other games/programs require them as well.

Usually, a reboot does the trick.

I've rebooted numerous times

Uninstall both x86 and x64 2010 Runtimes then reboot.

TESO should provide the Runtime Redistributables in a redist or Common Redist folder located in the Steam directory,

"...\Steamapps\Common\[game name]\redist\vcredist_x86.exe"

If the 2010s do exist, try installing both x86 and x64 again.

That's the thing though, I can't install the x86 because it's already in. I can't remove it either cause it gives me a load of ♥♥♥♥ saying it doesn't apply
