Xbox One Controller not working on PC
I bought a XBOX controller for MKX, and Windows can't seem to find a driver for it. My worry is, it might not be a Microsoft controller, I think it may be 3rd party, hard to tell though, and didn't think it would matter.

- It is Wired, with USB
- Shows up as "Xbox ONE liquid metal controller" in device manager
- When I plug it in, it says Drivers could not be found, and says "FAILED"
- Attempted to update driver, couldn't find one
- Downloaded the Xbox One Controller update from Microsofts site, and nothing
- Restarted

Was hoping for some help on this.

Yes, it is a third party controller and yes, it does matter. This one does not have support for PC, like pretty much any modded controller. Try cheating elsewhere.

Those can be equipped with modchips to get unfair advantages over others. They are also pricey as hell, so i see only one reason to get one of those, to get a modded one.

Yeah, mine isn't custom, nor was it that expensive. I just bought it at Walmart cause it has a neat stormtrooper on it.

That was the only controller i was able to find fitting the product name you mentioned.

Maybe try to download a program that will help you install the controller. I had a similar situation but I downloaded the program and already is well ;)

It isn't the controllers your are thinking about. These just recently came out, I bought it today. Look up Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, R2D2, or C3PO XBone controller.

I am having the same issue. I fixed it for a little bit, then an update to Win7 stopped everything from working. I am now in the process of getting my PC back in order after a factory reset. If you come across the solution please let me know. If I come across it, I will be back.

I just bought the controller and figured it out today sorry friend xD
I still cant get mine to work. When i follow the above links it just takes me to a microsoft page saying to follow the manual driver install. There are no driver links on there and my computer isnt automatically picking up driver. I am using a fully up-to-date windows 7 pc. Any ideas?

I hope you figured this out by now but I'll post this for people like me who just had this problem.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RIDcLUpWaU <----Video on how to install a program if you can't....

http://support.xbox.com/ms-MY/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc <----Different than the ones above because it actually has a link...notice it's xbox.com/ms-my instead of en-us.
I just got a Star Wars Xbone Controller yesterday, and it's got the same name as this. It works...sort of. Rather, it works selective only for a few games. See, it works perfectly fine for Fallout 4 and Broforce for example.

But when I use it for Borderlands 2/The Pre-Sequel, the game just kills itself and then enters a permanent-LAN mode where my last used character is not selected anymore...nor is anyone else but the default Vault Hunter the game goes to (Athena/Axton). Trying to swap to online mode displays an error message that...says nothing. Attempting to play the game after such will end up crashing the game outright after selecting a character to play as.

The Crew on the other hand...doesn't even work. Gah.
