GTA 5 really slow download

I purchased GTA5 pc the other day and I'm STILL downloading it. Im getting about 10% a day. It's going to take me over a week to download this game. PATHETIC steam, or Rockstar or who ever is responsible. Ive tried changing servers, ive tried removing the .part file. Nothing changes. it never goes above 377kbs. It's 2015..... NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure it's just not your computer and/or connection that sucks? Like e.g. I just installed a bunch of games and I'm getting a pretty steady 21 megabytes per second, no matter the game.

im fairly sure its not my connection. Ive downloaded other games from steam and they always seem to download fairly quickly.

Are you on wireless? If so, try plugging in directly into the router. If not, try this: google net int ip reset, or visit this link - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/299357 This completely resets your TCP/IP, which is basically like rebooting your wireless/cat-e card. This usually works for getting good connections back.

It is definitely your connection lmao, don't blame steam or publishers for your internet speed choice

thanks for the help, ive tried connecting to modem, makes no diff. And Mr Fox, if you google gta 5 slow download, a bunch of forums come up about the download taking for ever.... so this is not just me.

It is just you. Pretty much most people can download this in 2 to 4 hours. Contact your ISP, they are either throttling you, or you are paying for dismal internet speeds.

Did you try the TCP/IP Reset? Also, try the online connection speedtest to see if you are getting throttled or not.

hmmm, perhaps. everything else is quick though... youtube, battlefield 3 etc. all nice and quick.

ISP's have the ability to throttle certain internet traffic. contact them if nothing else worked

Do you have any other internet connected devices? If so, try turning off WiFi on them, especially any streaming boxes like Roku or Apple TV.
