You can Hide the game on your Steam Library.

Not sure if I've understood everything, but usually you're able to upgrade a game to its more advanced version (GOTY, Enhanced, Director's Cut, Legendary, whatever) by simply purchasing it. The user will be warned that he won't get additional copies of the base game or other already owned DLCs. Some games (not every one unfortunately) even offer "Upgrade to GOTY" options.

However, should the older version be kept in the library, the "Hide game" feature will help a lot.

My steam account is running a couple of games such as Batman Arkham City and Batman Arkham city goty edition Metro 2033 and Metro 2033 Redux so I don't need DotA 2 beta in my list, but I understand that it is possible to hide them, but! perhaps as it through tech support to delete them? forever.

Uninstall the game, make sure all the folders are removed then hide the game.

The question is what to remove from the list of games on steam so to speak for estetici
Some games might be removed by Support if they came alone and not bundled with something else (Arkham City might, but DOTA2 Beta definitely won't), but if you ask me it doesn't really worth the time.
Just hide them.

Yep, the Steamsupport get every day request to remove games. They have something else to do, like help at games or purchase Issues

Actually, Support can't remove anyway those games/betas which came bundled with other games (unless the user asks for the whole bundle to be removed). Additionally, they can't remove achievements/stats/time played form the community page either, so contacting them is pretty much useless. On top of all of this, the user will have to provide solid and inconfutable proof of ownership.

Hiding on the other hand works like a charm and doesn't require any hassle.
