I need help with GPU compatibility.

Hi, I'm looking into buying a new GPU and I want to know if my pc is compatible with either a dual slot GPU or only a Single slot GPU. My pc specs
Model: Asus M11ad-US009S
Processor: Intel i7 4770S (3.10 GHz)
Current GPU: Intel hd graphics 4600
Expansion Slots: 2 x PCI-e x 1 , 1 x PCI-e x 16
SATA: 4 x SATA 3Gb/s , 2 x SATA 6 Gb/s

Dual-slot is pretty much the standard if you want something powerful.

You have a PCI-E x16 slot, so you can use a single slot GPU, provided it fits in the case. A dual slot GPU will require you have space adjacent to the PCI-E slot. My dual slot card requires the space to be to the right of the PCI-E slot, and I imagine this is true for most, if not all, cards. Some cards which vent outside the case may also require you to have an additional open bracket on the case.

At the end of the day, you'll need to open your computer case and take some measurements. It's the only way to be sure.

Also before you choose which GPU, you'll want to check that you have a sufficient PSU (which will depend upon the GPU choice) to run with a dedicated card, as currently it appears you don't - some OEM PCs put close to the bare-minimum PSU required in order to save on cost.
