Can I Install a game with a lot of memory without worrying about computer space?!
I was thinking about getting GTA V but I don't want to install a 60 gb game to my computer so if I just install it to the steam library (and forgive me for being stupid if this is not the case, I am not the brightest when it comes to most things XD) then does it still take up 60 gb on my computer? I have a lot of games in my steam library and I haven't really paid attention to any difference in computer space really so I'm not sure if games have been affecting my computer or not but if it does take up space please tell me how to counter-act this because I really want GTA V for the pc as well as many other games that may take up a lot of space and I don't want it to go over my capacity I don't really have the best storage in my computer. I appreciate any help given :).

If you purchase a game but do not install it then it will not take up any space locally on your computer. If you install it then the game will take up space.

Otherwise it is just an entry in your Steam games library.

Oh ok so if I purchase it I can play it through my steam library without it taking up any computer space rather than install it to, say, desktop and playing it from there.

No, you have to install the game to be able to play it.

You won't be able to play it without installing it. It will not take up bandwidth or storage space unless you install it

No, you have to install the game to be able to play it.
So could I fix this by using an external hardrive?

External hard drives are not recommended but it is indeed possible. It will not take up storage, but if you have a internet data limit it will still apply

Preventing this issue

External Hard Drives

External hard drives are not recommended for use with Steam or Steam's games. Aside from many potential performance issues, external hard drives may connect or disconnect from the computer at inopportune times as part of their normal operations. If you encounter this issue with an external drive, install Steam and your games to an internal drive instead.

To ensure that you do not encounter this issue, always allow Steam to close properly when shutting down your computer. Allowing Windows to force Steam to close when it is writing to a hard drive may cause Steam library and installation information to become corrupted.

Probably the summer sale, but as yu said it is so new and popular it will probably not be discounted much.

you can plug it into isthereanydeal.com and be notified if it goes on sale somewhere, just be aware that if you buy it outside of Steam it will probably not be the Steam version, though I do believe all users can play together because they all use rockstar social club

I believe so that is a universal feature for the PC version no matte where it comes from, but anymore specific game questions you may want to ask in the game's forum.
