Adding Friends for new Steam Accounts

It is really stupid and pissing me off right now that steam made a rule of purchasing something first to be gifted to be allowed to add friends in steam or do other stuff.....

It is unfair for some people because most of them dont even have steam wallets and wouldnt even like to purchase something at all.....

There are so much dota 2 enthusiast gamers and even I and my friends couldnt invite them to play with because of the requirements of a new created steam account.

What is the point of creating a free steam account when you cant even add friends without purchasing something?......right?

Who ever made these requirements or agreed to it are not thinking straight (dumbass), because it is not fair for every new steam acc. to purchase something first to meet the requirements of adding friends...and most of them are expecting it to be better than LoL and Garena...

I hope steam comm. reads this and hope that they take the requirements out...even if the requirements could make the acc safer..

Being able to afford internet and a PC to okay Dota 2 on but not being a le to afford 5$ is weird to day the least

I too cant add friends, but there is a way, its to add that person's ID number...but thats hard to do, and I am pissed. I just have so little friends because of this.

No, the friends who can add you are unlimited and they've sent you the friend invite. That's what.

Limited users cannot send friend invites; but they can still receive them.

The ID number you're talking about is probably the URL, if your friends couldn't find you earlier.
That's togglable in Steam > Settings > Interface > Display Steam URL address bar when available.

You cant add friends b4 you buy a steam game. Steam made this to avoid trolls and stuff.
I recomend you to look for a cheep game, put some money on steam, and buy the game.

that is like 500 pesos here in PH...and there is a tax for steam wallet here in PH also I think...buying a game that is cost like that is not really that worth it just to add friends...but I think that is the oonly solution to it...which most players would hate

also because of this, many players would think that other games such as LoL is better since it doesnt need money to have friends, we dota players want to make other gamers think that dota is better than LoL, which actually is......

$5 is only ~Php250.
And it's not a FEE for just adding friends. It's also Steam's way to avoid troll accounts that can add freely.
You can buy anything you want with your $5.

I know right? Its unbelievable if other players said it is to avoid trolls, then its not like that, it doesnt have to be like that. Right? :)) I think I know why, cuz gaben wants money too much so he made that system. And that is what I said corrupt. I hate people who said that $5 is cheap, well ♥♥♥♥ u people, do u think all people can afford that. If u wanna say "then why he could afford the PC and Wi-fi well its because his main needs. Are you saying that you can't afford 5$, but a spammer can afford multiple 5$ expenditures? Or are you saying that if a preventative measure isn't 100% effective that is should not be used at all?
