Couldn't find "Hidden" categories
Recently I found an annoying problem and it bugs me little bit. I found that I couldn't find Hidden categories in my Steam.

You may say you won't have Hidden unless you hide a game. But I DID hide a game before, it's a free weekend game. Now it causes that even I hide a new game, still there is no Hidden to let me unhide them.
The only way I could SEE them is from Big Picture Mode, but I can't unhide game in that mode.

I dunno this was caused because I hided a free weekend game, or it is a bug or something? Is there a way to solve it?

Still no help?

It's likely the Free Weekend game, yes.

Same thing happens if you favorite/categorize it and it goes off the free weekend list (if uninstalled); you can remove it once it becomes free weekend again (or you buy it; or someone Family Shares it to you.)

Now it causes that even I hide a new game, still there is no Hidden to let me unhide them.

So you tried another game; now it's stuck to Hidden (2) ?

EDIT

What's the game you've hidden? You can see its APP-ID from the URL.

i.e. http://steamcommunity.com/app/XXXXXX (Game hub)

Navigate yourself to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user-ID>\7\remote\sharedconfig.vdf
Your user-ID is 120763122

Open it up with WordPad; hit CTRL+F and type in the APP-ID.
Now change the value "Hidden" "1" to "Hidden" "0".
Save the file and try re-launching the Steam -client.

Thanks for reply. Yes, I tried any way to access "Hidden" in library, still I couldn't. I searched for answer that tells me it should be in there (categorizes), but whatever I did, even I tried to hide another game.

If Teutep's method didn't work then you don't have that free weekend game in your library anymore
I understand, but right now the problem is I can't find "Hidden" in my categories even I hide another game. It means that I can't unhide the game in normal way.

So the said APP-ID wasn't in the .vdf -file?

Just did the way you said. Now everything is fine, I can unhide and find "Hidden", but I lose all categories I had set.

It shouldn't have reset your categories if you only set the 1 to 0 though? Either way, glad to hear if it otherwise works.

Sorry for the hassle!

Yeah, I just set the 1 to 0, and then found that all categories gone. Anyway, it works, thanks again. I'm glad that I only have 200 games to set categories.

If it means anything. You can hold down CTRL while you click the games to select multiple games at once.

If you need to set a range of games from Point A to B, you can hold down both CTRL and SHIFT and then click the first and the last entry to select everything in between.
