Mortal Kombat X download problems

I don't know if this is just me or everybody is having this problem but I have managed to install the first 3.0GB segment of the game just fine but steam does not allow me to download the first of the 29 other downloads that come with the game. Every time the download starts it gets pushed out of the queue within seconds and when I click play it says that there is a disk write error. Somebody please respond if they're having the same problem as I feel this is a problem with the game and not with my system
