purchased games do not show up in steam library, but are listed in steam account
i purchased 2 games on steam, received the confirmation email with code numbers, but they still do not show in my "steam library" (where i think they would be launched from when playing ?)

but games do list in my "steam account" section, but there seems to be no way to activate or launch them from there either

how do i solve this ?

Looks like you are signed into the wrong account as the one you are on shows no games on record. It was also created on September 11th 2012 but has never been used. You have another account somewhere.

Wrong account on the Steam client.

Because the account you're currently typing this with has nothing.

this is the account i have problems with (? does it show another name maybe ?)

both windows (browser login or steam pop thingy) show the same login name, but there is a difference in "pc name" (and i have no idea how to change this)

log'ing back into the account does not seem to solve it

If you bought the games using your web-browser, check this page on your web-browser:

http://store.steampowered.com/account/

Then view the same page on your Steam -client by clicking it here

Compare the AccountName.

At the very least, check the e-mail for the receipt; the part after Dear...

both games show up when i click on that weblink you posted

how do i view the same page in the steam client ? (i dont think i can paste url's anywhere in the steam client)

the confirmation emails were received from steam after the purchases, and they included a serial number/code linked with the purchases

Click the link on the Steam -client.

Or navigate to Steam > Settings > Account -tab (Top right: View Account Details.)

when i use the web browser login and go to "account details", both purchased games show up

i cant see any way to launch the game from the web browser, or see what game serial number is associated with that game (i only have a purchase confirmation code in my emails from steam, listing the correct 2 games)

when i use the steam launcher program ( ?whatever it is called) i can see the same account name, and i loged into it with the saem pwd, but no games are listed at all in the "library" section of that program (which is where i think they should show up ?)

I sent you a friend invite, I figured you'd show me a picture of the two pages uploaded to http://imgur.com as I doubt you want to show your account name in public here.

oks, to make sure the error is not related to different accounts being used, i just loge'd out of all accounts ( both from web browser , and the separate steam app)

when i now log-in freshly with the exact same account name and pwd on both login's (a web browser login, and the separate steam app), then
1) for the web browser i can see both purchased games under account-name (top right side of screen) and then go to \account details
2) for the steam app login, NOTHING

this to me would suggest there is some internal error on the steam side

ok, both games are now showing up in the steam app, but only in my account-name \ "licenses and subscriptions"

but i still cant see a way to launch them or install them from there

What are the two games?

Do they display as bought if you view the Steam Store -page?

You are unlimited now though, so something is happening.

Which is interesting, since you still don't gain XP from the badge:

I still can't see any games here either: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198106799929/games/?tab=all

hi, and thanks for helping out

both games show up under "acquisition method" as "steam store"
zennitro Apr 13, 2015 @ 11:06am
both games are from the DCS flightsim company, the combined arms scenery addon and the p51 mustang aircraft
zennitro Apr 13, 2015 @ 11:07am
yes, they both show up under the steam store listing as well

Let me get this straight.

You bought two DLCs for a game you don't own?

This is the game you need to access those two:

Install the last one, as it's seemingly free.
If all else fails:

Windows -button + R
