GTA 5 PC - Will It Run On Dual-Core CPU
So this discussion is about "Will GTA 5 Run On Dual-Core CPU"?
I think it might run, but on the newer Dual-Core CPUs, because the minimum requirements are Quad-Core Q6600 which is really old CPU from 2006. You guys played Assassin's Creed 4? For AC4 the minimum requirements we're Quad-Core Q6400 but I was still running it on Medium with 30-40 fps with some little frame drops, on my Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5700 clocked at 3.0Ghz, 4Gb DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Sapphire Radeon HD4670 1Gb.
So if you wonder if you can run GTA 5 on Dual-Core, I will wait for it to be released, I will test it and I will tell you how good or even if you can run it on Dual-Core CPU and DirectX 10 graphics card as it's mentioned on the official Rocksta page. :)

You're probably right that it wil run on dual core cpus. If it runs on a q6600 it will most likely run on modern desktop dual cores since those perform much better on any task that utilizes only 1 or 2 cores, which is most games, even new ones. It's possible GTA 5 can utilize 3 or 4 cores to some small extent*, but not enough to compensate for the more efficient architecture and higher clockspeeds that modern desktop dual cores have compared to a q6600.

* It's really hard to program for 4 cores, for many tasks it's even mathematically impossible to split up the computations even between only 2 cores.
