Seagate Dashboard (backup software) Problem(s)

I ordered a Seagate Backup Plus 2TB external drive to backup up my data. It arrived yesterday, and it detects and seems to work fine, but the Dashboard software does not seem to function properly.

When doing a Continuous Backup (I also tested a "Snapshot" backup as well), in both cases, the software halted at 7% backup progress. It would not go any further than this. Even after several tries at cancelling the backup and starting a new one, it still would progress fine until reaching 7%, and then sporadically stop all activity. I received no error message and was not notified that something was wrong whatsoever.

How can I get this to work!!??

Well, this is a Help and Tips sub-forum, so I would say it is rather appropriate. I look around, and see dozens of posts here that aren't Steam-related.

I'm no Steam novice. I have over 2000 comments linked to my account. Watch your tongue, or should I say, text. Your attitude obviously needs work.

You are not new either. I was genuinely surprised you lasted this long with that type of social ability.

I hope you realise that posting glam shots of your Razer Kraken Forged do not make you look cool. They are a terrible headset.

And? There are no rules saying I cannot post this here. This is outstanding. First time I've been given such a hard time over such trivial and pointless matters. Steam obviously went to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ recently.
