Can I download steam on iPad air?
I bought roller coaster tycoon but need to steam engine to download it. Everytime I send myself the attachment that has the download it dosnt work, I open it and just says we do not support this type of file. And there's nothing in the AppStore. I know these iPad airs can run the game but I hope I can download it. So anyone have any ideas?

I downloaded that and it's pretty much useless, just a search engine

Unfortunately, Steam doesn't sell iOS games as far as I can tell.

At no point does the Steam Store state you can buy games for your iPad device.

Always reads the specs before purchasing. What made you think Steam would run on an iPad?

Since there's a app you can download to your ipad to search and buy games that's steampowerd I figured they would have one to play them...

Apple would never allow Valve to sell games for iOS.

Because there is Steam Mobile, that is just an App for handling your Steam Account on Mobile Devices. Such as the Store, Community, Friends. Allows for Store Purchases and a way to remotely start/handle Downloads/Installs for a Host system that is also logged into Steam at same time on same account.

When u look at product on Steam, it has listed Requirements and Supported OS.
Steam sells products for (again listed there on product pages) Windows OS, MacOSX, Linux.

You obviously failed to read both the details of Steam Mobile, as well as the details listed on a Product/Store page.

Well my I suggest steam should looking into getting into Ipads. In this day of age and all the people who use them, it would be a pretty smart business opportunity. Can come off the PC power band.

Sorry if my post sounds like "bashing"
Just wanted to be clear was all.

You can't just put product on mobile stores. They need to be designed with certain OS and Device Input methods in mind. Just like you don't go buy a Console game disc and expect that to run on your PC/Mac system.

Unfortunately, it's a lot more complex than that.
