Out of memory error. You are probably low on hard disk space. Error 12
I am getting the above error message when I attempt to load Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The problem happened once a few days ago...then stopped. Then the problem returned and continues ongoing.
I checked the event viewer and there is nothing in the Windows events relating to this at all. 850gb of available HDD space, 16GB of RAM, video card and RAM more than meets the expectations for the game.
I'm at a loss. Any help is appreciated.

What operating system, 32bit or 64bit?

Just started getting the same error after playing this without trouble for the past month. I'm running 64bit, with i7 enough Ram and videoc card etc.
Increase the maximum size of your pagefiles.

I'm having the same issue. Haven't played in a few days and tonight I keep getting the same error message just a few seconds after the game opens up. I've never seen it before tonight. I tried a couple of other games and no problems. Drivers up to date, bios shows all good. Looking game related.

Wow, 26GB maximum? or 26GB minimum and maximum?
If it is trying to allocate that much memory that quickly then it'll crash for sure.

They should only allocate about 4MB at a time, and keep the requests in a message queue within the code. (Or a similar structure).

Do I increase the size of the pagefiles just for the drive the game is installed on? Seems to be limited to just Exo Zombies too, the other variants seem to work ok

The pagefile can by split over multiple drives to speed it up, but no it does not have to be on the same drive, volume, or partition as the game.

I give up, seems a lot of other people are having the same issue....i'll come back to it another time. Maybe reinstalling it might work, though 50gig reinstall is not exciting
It will take a game patch to fix.

I started getting this error today, too. I JUST re-installed Windows 3 days ago and did fresh installs of Steam, CoD AW and BO2. Running i7 with 16 GB RAM on Win7 64 bit system with a 2TB HD that isn't remotely close to being full. Everything was running perfect about 5 hours ago. Was there a patch that was pushed out today that would be causing this to happen to so many people?

Something else to note ----- I can LOAD CoD-AW Multiplayer just fine. The game loads until it connects and my friends list shows up in the bottom right hand corner, THEN I get the error.
It will take a game patch to fix.

Did a windows update, and turned my video settings back to optimal and its now working. I don't think any of that actually made it work though.
