Skyrim disc install
I just recently bought Skyrim for the Pc, I had originally played it for the Xbox but I wanted to try out a few of the mods out there, but when I started my down load I got an error a few minutes later saying that the connection had timed out. I had tried it today and left it alone (after getting the pop up error but still letting it install) for about five hours and it still had not moved since I last left it in beginning of the five hours. I don't know what is wrong, though it might be my laptop since it also has decided not to read three other discs for expansions on another game. Any ideas out there?

You can force Steam to install from disk.

But you will still need to download the latest updates.

Well, you don't have any Local Content, because the game is not installed.

Move on to the next steps.

Even when you follow the steps and force it to install from disk?

If I followed the steps correctly, yes
