One of the things that you should not do, is go to those huge electronics shops, because they usually sell you a bad computer for high prices. Since you are from UK, there must be at least one store that specificaly focuses on building a PC, not selling a built one already.

When I made mine, I didn't have to put it together myself. I simply bought the parts and they had already put the PC together when I came. Even in a small country like Latvia I can manage to do this, therefore I doubt there aren't shops like this in your place.

I'm curious as to how much they charge you for labor, to put it together?

£20/$30
That's pretty cheap I think to pay someone to put the computer together for you after you pick the parts. Usually labor is very expensive. Like a plumber.

ffs my town has no fkin shops at all
I'm doubt there isn't a PC shop that builds, unless you live hundreds of miles away from the city.

Kanivakil, they do not charge you. It might sound odd, but most of the computer shops do not charge you anything if you buy the parts from them. They also offer free cleaning once a year if you have warranty.

I wouldn't pay for the name. It's like paying $50 dollars more to have the Nike symbol stamped on a t-shirt.

if i built it myself and it doesnt work wtf do i do

Go for a system config build, it costs a little more but its much cheaper than a branded version. All the parts will come with a warranty and places like overclockers give the entire system a 12 free warranty on the build. If anything goes wrong in the 1st year they fix it for free, From years 2 to 5 you have to deal with each manufacturer for whatever part fails.

If you go 100% self build you just have the manufacturer warranty.
