Cant play Counterstrike 1.6 in OpenGL mode (windows 7)
I dont mind playing in software mode even though its pretty cr@ppy quality. IM STUCK ON LEFTHAND. I tried cl_righthand 1, pressed H -> Chose right hand. Doesnt work..

So I assumed its a Software Mode thing, to be stuck on lefthand. So lets try OpenGL mode... Black Screen..I need a solution for this problem.. Like why does this have to happen..

just install your latest video drivers for opengl
if that dos not fix it install your chipset drivers.

Also, when I check steamapps folder I dont have the email of my steam account with cstrike folder in it.. Tried reinstalling still that folder is not where to be found.

download them from the website or tell us what you have.
or steam>update video

the account folder is not needed anymore all in the common folder.

When I click update video, directs me to an intel page saying The page you requested
has moved or doesn't exist. (Error 404)

Im currently download 24 things from Window Update, wonder if that will make CS work lol. I recently reset my computer to Factory Settings because I was spinning like a maniac in counterstrike, didnt know what to do.

yes updates are key.


spinning somtimes means drivers outdated.
chipset drivers mainly if you have and old amd CPU.
