Download speeds ALOT slower then internet speeds.

Sorry if this is the wrong place or anything, but heres my problem. so i download from the san diego servers, and max about 2.5/3 mb/s. usually not that. but my speedtest (on san diego servers) is this http://www.speedtest.net/result/4263883049.png

Also, my download speed on steam is normally 2.0 mb/s

Steam client measure MBytes not Mbits

You're maxing out your connection

Speedtest net measure "Mega bits" which is why the # is larger. And why your ISP loves to use Mbits to measure bandwidth because BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER!

Steam measures "Mega Bytes". Note that bits is lower case 'b' but Bytes is uppercase "B". Mathematically 8 bits = 1 Byte.

So as per above your Speedtest shows 20 Mega bits per second

If you look at Steam in the download bar it shows 2.5 Mega Bytes per second

Which is basically equivalent so Steam is maxing out your bandwidth
