Cannot interact with Steam Overlay - Win7 64x

Hi there,

So I have had steam on my computer for a hell of a long time and this has only started recently, maybe a couple weeks ago. It has the same issue with every game I have tried, including Dota, CS:GO & Civ5.

Whenever I open the steam overlay, I am unable to interact with it at all. All my input is registered only in the game and not on the clients overlay.

So I tried to enable and disable the overlay using the steam settings, which I have done several times. I can now not even open my overlay using the assigned Shift + Tab (both of which I know work on my keyboard). The only way to get the overly to open is to click on another player and go view profile. If i do this then I am forced to close the game and reopen it, because Shift + Tab doesn't close the overlay and I have an unusable overlay taking up my screen.

Has anyone had this issue before not on a Mac and could provide some insight?

U need to delete ur CS:GO close steam and lounch it an admin. And after install game

Have you tried the usual verifying game cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, etc?

No Fauxtronic I am not using the steam beta client, thank you thought :)

And you probably won't until you bite the bullet and back up your data, format the computer.

I updated to Windows 10 and it's fixed the issue.. So there's that
