This account will have restricted functionality for 9 weeks. - 9 WEEKS of waiting still not unbanned.
Hey guys,

my account got restricted back on 27th january cause of a charge back issue. It said my restriction will be lifted on March 30th(which is today) - The red box at the upper right saying "you have a alert for the steam support" disappeared today ! Yet, my account is still restricted e.g. i cannot buy any games or charge my steam wallet.

does anybody of you guys had to deal with this already? if yes how long did it take after the initial date of release to get you full power of your account back ?

Thanks for reading!

Exactly 9 weeks.

9 Weeks from Jan 27th is March 31st. So you have to wait until after March 31st to be unbanned.

After that time if you are still banned contact Steam Support.

Could be that you have to wait until after a specific time on Mar 30th then.

Wait until after March 30th and then contact Steam Support if your ban is not removed.

I do not know why they give a cooldown date.
if you did a chargeback you contact support , your account is suspended.
I am sure your message is telling you this.

or you can wait but I doubt that is a solution.

At least now you know there is a punishmet for breaking the rules. Maybe you won't do it again in the future :)

it would not bother me I just use another account.
I see many people in your situation with the same message and more days over the cooldown limit.

edit: I searched for you.

It will become permanent. The message ends with "If you don't sort it out until then, the restrictions will become permanent".
