It's a laptop, it cannot be upgraded. And no, is absolutely horrible for gaming, even the most basic titles will be either slow or don't run at all.
Already the idea to use a office level laptop for gaming is a bad idea. And to it comes the fact that it has 8-9 years.
Laptop: cannot be upgraded, cheap ones suck, gaming laptops cost too much
Desktops: best choice, especially if you build yourself, cause most prebuilds suck
Minimal what I would go with:
A good mobo with 4 RAM slots
8GB RAM 1600 or 1866 Mhz
AMD FX or Intel I5 CPU
Radeon 260X or Geforce GTX 750
500W 80+ bronze power supply
1TB drive 7200 rpm
Win 7 64bit
