Deleted folder contents of steam to create a fresh insall.... Lost all screenshots

When i deleted the Steam folder contents, I made sure not to lose my games folder.... but I didnt save my screenshot folder unfortunetlly. I lost all my game screenshots on my computer. Though I uploaded the vast majority of them on steam. Is there a way to Download them from the steam server back onto my laptop??

1. Exit Steam
   
2. Right mouse click Program Files (x86)
   
3. Click Properties
   
4. Navigate to Previous Versions
   
   • Open up a previously dated Program Files (x86) -folder
5. Navigate to the Steam -folder.
   
6. Copy the 760 -folder under the subfolder of your userdata
   
   So basically

   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\userdata\59516887\760\

7. Paste it in the new 59516887 -folder.
   
8. Re-launch Steam

Since 59516887 is your user-ID

Sadlly, I cleared my steam folder a few months ago, so your method will not work for me either. If only i posted my question much earlier.... youur method would have definetlly saved my screenies back then. Thanks anyways. I just hope that valve adds the option to re-download screenshots in the right format so that they appear in the games libary when you select a agme..

I'm pretty sure your old Steam folder should still be locatable under Program Files (x86) ?

You could for now download the screenshots you uploaded from the website, then rename them in YYYY_MM_DDDD_xxxxx.jpg -format and place them in their correct APP-ID -folders within the 760 -subfolder.

i.e.

2015_03_25_00002.jpg

Into

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\userdata\59516887\760\(APP-ID)\screenshots\

  and
  

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\userdata\59516887\760\(APP-ID)\screenshots\thumbnails\

Unfortunately not; those are stored on the screenshots.vdf that got wiped out with the 760 -folder, I'm afraid. :/

It should be possible, but I'd try with one screenshot rather than remove them all at once to make sure your new .vdf won't play against your plans.

I'd say your chances are good since you didn't have to manually tweak the screenshots.vdf for the entries to appear on the Manager.
