Hi there fellow players.
I don't seem to be able to play Civ 5 on my new laptop.
I get the option between playing DirextX9
DirectX 10&11
Or window8 touch enabled but I don't even have a touch screen.
None of the options seem to work and I am not best pleased.... ( cry, cry)
Does anyone have a tip for me.
tried allsorts but no luck so far.

Define you not being able to play it.

Based on what you said, are you saying it runs but performs badly?

It does not even run.
when I press plat severaltimes I get an error notice,
Says its playing but... it is not :(

I think it might be a lenovo thing..

it says steam error. app aready running and that I am revered to the steam help thing. But all the options do not work.

looks like you have basic model of lenovo G7070 - intel HD 4x only (but performance HD 3x) no luck

You need to see the exact notebook model, if a discrete video is present in this modification (this series used nVidia Optimus, it can not be turned on (if the power saving mode) - then the game will not see the full functionality video
