This account has been locked by its owner
I / My Son recently had a warning that the account he uses was compromised and that he should lock it for security purposes which he did, That was almost 4 weeks ago FEB 27th and despite setting up a security account and sending transaction details, paypal transaction codes multiple times etc etc the account is still restricted,
Ive had to create a new account which i am posting as he cannot even post on the forums for advice,
Im at a loss what else to do other than create a new account, and loose access all his purchased games

Is your support ticket still open?
Also, you should check your son's or your own PC. Afterall, how did the warning come to life?

Yes the ticket is still open and has been since the acc was locked i have supplyed all relavent info dates times codes transaction id card numbers but all i receive is automated responses sigh.
I assume he received the warning because he installed steam on his laptop too and must have registered different ips or failed login attemps

What exactly does the warning say?

when the main steam window is open at the top on a red bar is the message

you have an alert from steam support

when u click on the message a window opens up with this message:-
Steam Support Alert for ********** - 27 February
This account has been locked by its owner.

I never saw the email but my son got a email from steam saying somones is trying to access your acc from another pc would u like to lock your account or ignore, he clicked on the lock link, he has it installed on his own laptop and on my pc too which prob triggered the warning

did the account ever get unlocked? the same issue is happing to me again. i just want to know how u got it fixed if u did.
I has same problem and i fix it .
You need to send to steam support all of thah acc
Username , email , pw , old email a lot of stuff

It does get unlocked but you'll wait a bit as Support is taking Valve time to do it. I've waited 3 weeks for them to unlock it.
I have waited about 2month :/
