Thanks for the reply. It was not a recurring issue thankfully. I assume that the reason behind it was that the system was undergoing maintenance at the time. It was confusing since I could log in and check my credentials unlike Maybank2u where if it was under maintenance you could not access your account at all. Haaven't had an issue since.

For customers who received an SMS related to this, kindly follow instructions in the SMS by 17 December to opt-in to continue enjoying these services.
For customers who did not receive an SMS related to this, kindly contact our Contact Centre at 1 300 880 900 (within Malaysia) or +603 2295 6100 (from overseas) to opt-in to continue enjoying these services.

maybank also did the similar thing.. but unfortunately, maybank blocks any transaction or service related to gaming, eventhough you enable it:
Please be informed, any transaction related to gaming, either gaming platform, gaming base or gaming merchant, once system detected it is related to gaming, system will automatically decline the transaction.
Maybank does not have any option to unblock any gaming related transaction for security reason to protect and prevent our customers' account from any fraudulent attempt.
Alternatively, you may use credit card(if any) or refer to any other available payment method offered at the said merchant/ website.

Can someone please confirm?
All banks should be able to allow a transaction. You just need to tell them to. If they can't do it, you just got a s.h.i.t.t.y bank or they are too lazy to help a customer. Remember customers always right.
