I just bought BioShock Infinite two days ago. Now its on sale. NOT HAPPY.
I own over 90 Steam games and I would like a credit on my account for the money that's been wasted. Need a little help here Mods.

You agreed to the price when you bought it. Tough luck mate.
Only buy for prices that you are fine with.
If on mondays new sales come in the supermarket, could you buy for that price on saturday and friday allready?

Depends on what laws that applies to the country you live in I guess.
But good customer care would be to refund (the difference) everyone who bought the game 14 days prior to the decrease in price.
Well you could have waited these 2 days. In the end it's not Steam's fault, just you having no luck. :/ Nobody can help you i guess, such things happen in life.

Not going to happen. You pay what you feel is fair at the time. You need a little help with taking responsibility for your actions.

How would've I had known this? Amazon has a policy to refund you something if you buy it and it changes prices within a certain period of time. They do it automatically without having to even ask.

"Just 14 days"?
But what with people who bought it 15 days ago?
Why selling the item anyway for the original price?

Depending on what country you live in, you can infact demand to be refunded the difference.
But it depends on the product also.

If i was a shop, i wouldnt make any special offers then.
I'm not interested in pressing laws against Valve, but it's no secret that Valve has customer service issues right now. Google it.

I'm a A+ customer who spends like crazy and I would just like a little personal service. These massive sales that get lots of attention are always bound to leave a bitter taste in the mouth of those who pay full price.

Again we're talking 48 hours here, not weeks.

In this case you have to complain to the publisher.

While I sympathise because Steam support really is crap, you're no more special than any other customer and not entitled to a better level of service than anyone else.

If you want good deals on games, then start following /r/gamedeals and sync your wish list with isthereanydeal.com. Bioshock Infinite has been reduced so many times over the past 15 months or so - and by so much - that you would obviously have got it for less just days or weeks later because it's so frequently on sale.

If you were really so unaware of the daily, midweek and other deals on Steam, then consider this a learning exercise and be more on the ball in future. Don't pay more than you can afford for games and wait if you want a good deal.

I agree with everything you're saying, but again we're literally talking hours. Not weeks here. And Amazon has already set the standard for customer service in this regard. I wouldn't be asking Valve to do anything that their own competition doesn't do.

The ironic thing is i've only played the game for 10 minutes lol.
On the other hand if you buy something with a mistake price on steam, you can keep it. Even if you bought it just a minute before it was fixed.
Like the season pass of bioshock infinite for 4,95 long ago.

Whenever i buy something i ask this question:
Am i fine with this price no matter what happens later?

That saves you from bad experiences.

I hadn't heard about Amazon's policy on this, so I looked it up. It appears to be a real, but unlisted policy that you can only learn about from anecdotal evidence. I'm frankly surprised to see they're willing to do it--if I owned a business I certainly wouldn't. Getting to the point, if Valve were to match Amazon, you would only be able to find out by contacting their support and asking, since the policy would not be listed. If you want to contact their understaffed Steam Support and give it a try, you can, I suppose, but it might be time for the summer sale before they get back to you.

Thank you at least someone is taking me seriously. Anyways I submitted a Steam ticket so we will see what happens. If they refuse will I stop shopping on Steam? No probably no, but I certainly wont have kind of fanboy type loyalty that I have now.

I will make it even easier for Valve, I dont even care if they match the entire sale price, just credit me $5 or $10 or something as a sign of caring a little bit.
