Connection timed out?!

I tried to download tf2 "an error occured connection timed out"
I tried downloading dont starve "an error occured connection timed out"
I tried downloading rpg maker vx ace" an error occured connection timed out"
It's been doing that with EVERY program! What gives?! I spent a total of $200 on all my games! WHY IS IT SAYING CONNECTION TIMED OUT?! better be a good excuse to steal my money...

Hey

Try changing your download region:
Steam Settings > Downloads (Tab) > Try a different region;
(Remember to revert back later).

Have a look through: Slow Downloads and Connection to Content Servers.

Alternatively - Just wait and try again later.

No. it says steam is up but when I try to download my games "connection timeout' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Perhaps your Internet Security Software is interfering with Steam.

what security software? Got nothing like that. I even plugged it in to the router still connection timeout.

in my steamapps file there was supposed to be several files but there's only 1
