batman arkham city download.. PLS HELP ME :(

Hi guys! I just wanted to know if anyone could help. I'm not sure if there is a problem or I just don't know how things work. lol

Anyway, I've bought Batman arkham city recently. The thing is, the internet in my place is really slow so often to downlaod big games, I have to leave my pc running for lnog periods of time. I was downloading my game which according to steam was about 17.3gb, I had to leave to attend some errands. At this point, I had already finsihed downloading 15gb. However, when I came back, the download progress was now back to 11gb. We have a data cap here and that extra 6gb will put a bit of dent on it, not to mention another 10 hours. The weird thing to me though is that when I check the downloads in my steamapps folder, the file size there for the game is already 18.5gb and despite the download progress bar on steam telling me i was already at 12gb now, it didn't budge from 18.5. Could anyone shed some light on the matter. It would mean a lot. Thank you.

P.S. as I am writing this, an error just popped up saying something was wrong, that my downlaod was corrupted or something

You downloading less then the game is, because the files are zipped (whatever you wanna call it).

On the others i can't help :( #If you downloaded it completely you can check for missing datas :)
