Assuming the game isn't hard coded to use the SteamAPI which quite a few are... but hey , nothing beats a try eh?
You can usually find it under Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/common/
Under the steam tab in the client. Look at all settings there, make your choice.
You wont notice steam while playing. And you exit it after.
Check the post above as that is a good idea. You wont get rid of steam but it will annoy you a lot less. Stop checking for running processes while steam is running.
Shame on you op for loving huniepop and pretending it was age of empires!
The fact he only owns 1 game (aoe hd and he is playing it right now means nothing, (its a trick)
You can look into my computer and see what I am doing?
I didn't ask for this, I just needed to install this ♥♥♥♥ in order to play my game.
For myself, I'm nearly sixty, physically a bit disabled so I can't work anymore.
I used to play AoM II until I bought a windows 7 computer.
For all the rest, it seems that I'm really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by this misleading situation.
I will except these Steam things, for all the rest, I wish you all the best and thanks for answering.
Use steam as a way to buy things on sale. Apart from that just play your game.
You wont notice it.
Thanks again, I've adjusted the settings and stopped + disabled the windows 7 service.
Things still work okay without the steam things.
This suits me much better.
At last, please check my website, there's an English section too.
Thanks again and bye bye.
Steam isn't your conventional store, unfortunately. and games purchased through it require the Steam app not only to be installed, but running when games purchased from it are played. Think of it kind of like a low hassle form or copy protection. If this updated version of the game has included Steam Workshop in itself, then I am very sad to inform you that Steam is part of the deal for getting the game.
There are ways to bypass that, but they violate that little agreement you accepted at game purchase, are a bannable offence to discuss on the forums, are of a VERY questionable legal standing, and are, quite frankly just a very, very, VERY bad idea to use due to viruses and malware.
As for how we knew you were playing the game.. Uh.. where the little picture is, like where my face is, it tells you if that person is offline (grey box), online (Blue Box), or in a game (green Box) Hovering over it tells you the name of the game. Clicking on the picture lets us see games you own, and anything like a profile you have set up.
It does NOT involve us being able to see what you are doing on your computer.
I realise at the end of typing this, that you went offline, most likely deleted your game, deleted Steam, and are probably running your free copy of McAfee your internet provider gave you as part of your service package, trying to scrub all the kiddy game internets balderdash from your machine, all the while sure we are watching you as you stare at the monitor.
As for you...
Stop scaring the elderly! And I like Hunnie Pop! I found it more fun than Bejeweled.
