No one needs a separate review tab for the demo, and very few people need reviews for demos I would guess.
so the dev can improve the game/demo and thats good.
Demo Feedback/Review = Community
Also all the reasons posted are pretty fair.
Well that's kinda bull. So we basically can't say crap until the game's fully released to give our feedback Doesn't that kinda eliminate the whole point of a demo?
If someone is that interested in seeing if a game is worth buying or not, they can try the demo themselves. Or play it safe and wait until the game is released and read reviews of the full game later. Or both.
Actually you CAN write reviews for demos but only for specific demos like the demo of Angels That Kill
The reason for this is because this example has a seperated Steam AppID and its own Store-Page. Other Demos are downloadable with an extra button on their main games Store Page so they are basically the same game (means the same AppID) but the downloadable gamefiles are partially locked on the download so you are "playing the main game".
An example for this kind of a demo would be for the game Mu Complex. You can search for this game and you will find 2 different entries; the demo and the main game.
But not matter what you click you will always land on the main game Store-Page. The only way to download it is via the button on this page.
And as you can see on my example the main game of this game has totally different reviews than its demo.
And another point is that you are definately not allowed to flame Steam for its review system because it's the developers of the games that decide if the demo is a totally seperated game or a locked main game.
Seems weird for Steam to encourage buying a game just to leave a negative review and then returning it.
Would be nice to be able to post to see if others are having the same problem.
Why would I buy a game if the Demo doesn't even run?
How did you post there previously? https://steamcommunity.com/app/940300/discussions/0/1841314700702786077/
