Does RAGE (pc) still have it's problems?
Hi, I've been recently very interested in the game RAGE. I didn't give it a fair chance back when it came out but after seeing MadMax:Fury Road, I've been having a massive urge to play it.

However, after some research, I've been reading that it's super hard to get the game running, even on high-end PCs. That worries me because I've read posts about people who have high-end PCs and the game ends up crashing after 30 minutes of playtime.

The thing is, I haven't seen that many recent discussions on the game, so I don't know if the problems are fixed or not. Most of the threads I read about the game are a few years old.

QUESTIONS:
I'm planning on building a high-end gaming PC; so what can I specifically do to get this game running properly?
Do a majority of people nowadays still have problems running the game?
Can the game AT LEAST run on the same specs as the console versions without any problems?
Is the console versions of the game running on "medium settings?"

If I can get the game to run exactly the same way as it does on consoles, then I'll be a happy man.

Rage is a great game and it runs fine. It uses MegaTextures, so the more Vram you have the better.

AMD cards tend to run idTech games better than Nvidia. But I have no issue playing it with my 690.

it's such a rail shooter ,with tiny narrow corridors . where and what you can actually do in the game is so limited . and it's so repetitive
the controls are horrible , the environments are so static , the look of the game is great ,but everything else about it is bad .
dont waste your money , the only fair price for it would be free ,
but really , it's not worth the hard drive space

Don't be so harsh. Sure controls could be better, but why do you think that games is bad itself? It's great oldschool experience, without 'press F to destroy ten buildings at once', tons of weapons carried at the same time and enemies that can take rocket on the face and stay alive. And what shooter isn't repetitive? It's shooter - you shoot stuff and then shoot some more.

#1 Any mid end PC build today will probably run Rage on high to max settings. I've played it year ago without any problems or graphic bugs.
