Completing Installation?
so i logged onto steam and installed CS: GO on a computer at school, and ive been playing there and home for a few days.
I got home one day and wanted to play on my laptop and it says "You are logged onto another computer already playing 'Counter Strike: Global Offensive'. Launching 'Counter Strike: Global Offensive' here will disconnect you from the other session from steam"
i click 'okay' and it says "Completing installation... %"
it does this for hours and nothing happens, i need help?!

I have the same exact problem, this happened to me once when I went to my dads house from my mothers and I had just assumed that I left my other PC running. This time I ensured that It was fully shutdown before going I arrive at my fathers again and the same issue arises with your exact same problem. It also isn't just counterstrike any game, I cant launch any steam games. Eventually last time it had fixed itself and allowed me to play for no reason. I'm sorry to say that I have no solution but I can say that the problem is narrowed down and that you most likely are not running CS:GO on your school computer. This is extremely frustrating because I cannot simply drive back to my mothers house and exit a game that is not running on a PC that has no power to it. Some people say check your processes but I don't see how that matters when the PC is shutdown. It may be that I have very slow internet speed at my fathers and something went wrong during installation but then why did it work later in the week. I thought maybe it was because I was logged into steam online or something so I shutdown my Ipad and anything that could be logged in to that account. Good luck fixing this issue I absolutely hate it and wish there was more support to such thing. :csgogun::KOh:

I did that many times and it didnt work, it seemed time solved it many times however What for sure worked is the default to fix PC issues, restarting.

As a whole to fix this issue I sugguest:
-Restart steam
-Close steam in your task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) > Prosseces >steam.exe > close
-Log in/ Log out
-Log out, shutdown PC, log in

Best luck to everyone this issue is a hassle and I could never find answers to it.

I just had the same problem.
I needed to reboot both systems. The one I played before, then the one I tried to play now.
(In this order)

Great ... and now I cannot send this post. Let's try later ... (when you read this, it worked finaly ;)
