Steam reviews not in my language

So my language in real life and steam is English, yet when i view game reviews as of today it says "none available in your language"
The weird thing is that about 20 minutes ago it was all fine but then payday 2 reviews did this, then BTD5, then TF2. Soon every game i view no longer has reviews in my language? I cannot seem to find a solution to this issue and i wonder if anyone has and/or solved this issue? Much thanks

Suddenly not a single game has reviews.
Also the rating is gone too.

Ya same here, i wonder if its a steam bug or something? Also i can ONLY access the game store page via the store and searching for it. I cannot view the games store page from my library or anything else its weird. Its also slow now when i search in the store

I don't know what Steam is doing with the reviews for a few months, but they're tinkering with it far too much with it in my opinion (negative reviews became "invisible" for a few weeks, now all review -both positive and negative- disappeared altogether on most games).

Is that an issue about sorting the review? filtering them? judging their usefulness from user votes?

They should just let us write and see the reviews as they're, in my opinion, and they should not bother to rearrange them or filter them.

Its not a filter its a bug it has to be. All the reviews are gone from my language and im pretty darn sure all the english reviews didnt just disapear

Yes, CaptainJackOfAllTrades, I agree. It's a bug. But my interrogation is: what are they trying to do to get this functionality bugged on a regular basis?

(Maybe I underestimate the complexity of their system, but it seems to me that it wouldn't be bugged if they just displayed the review on an "as is" basis)

I already did not like the "you already read all the useful negative reviews" thing.... I hope THIS is just a temporary malfunction. Reviews are entertaining and informative... I don't like blue penciling or iron curtains.

Ya i hope reading reviews like that does not last otherwise i could see steam taking a dive bomb big time. Most likely a glitch, bug, hack, joke, ETC.

It must be an bug...

But as long as I can't read reviews, I am NOT going to buy anything on Seam. I have enough games to keep me busy. Reviews (even if they are ridiculous) are an part of my "shopping" experience (if reviews are bad, I going too look for other reviews, and take an look at fora and so on). Hiding that away is an big fat "warning - don't buy anything" for me!

Same problem. Steam updated and now no user reviews visible...because they are not in my language. :(

Dunno if it's really the language selection.
Until today i saw reviews in german and english.
Now i don't see both of them. Even for popular games.

Better be a bug, i base almost all my purchases on reviews as to whether or not i want to risk it, i also have never liked any filtering or "prettying up" of reviews. If its mostly negative I want to see them, if it overwhelmingly positive i want to see them, i want to see them all to best inform myself about the game and judge it for myself.

I usually base on reviews, or an outside source such as youtube vids or friends
