Flash player causes all videos on Steam to play in low quality?!

Why are all videos on a store page are playing in low quality in Steam client, but in Chrome they are in HD?! Just why?

I've noticed that in Steam client videos are playing through adobe flash player, and in Chrome they're not playing through flash (I assume, HTML5).

It's 2015, Valve, HD should be default!

I forgot that I disabled Flash plugin in my Chrome. And it seems that's the only reason videos are in HD now. I turned Flash back on, and videos are in low resolution. This is ridiculous!

Is there any way to disable Flash in Steam?

Steam is not=Youtube. Steam does not have powerful servers and such huge DATA metal racks for everone to download and post their HD videos. One server is already quite hard at work... other than supplying EVERY SINGLE game of that region, it has to ensure cloud sync among all other servers and also discussions and other artwork has to be continuosly synced throughout EVERY single sever. If you want HD video function you're looking at a few Petabyte and thats not even enough to cover every single server! For all contents.

I see you haven't even read my whole post. Because if you did, you would know that all videos on Steam are already are in HD, but you have to disable Flash to play videos in HD.

Also Steam had videos in HD even before the layout/style change.

The amount of videos on Steam is a drop in the ocean compared to Youtube. Petabyte my ass. Nor all Steam users watching videos on Steam all the time for obvious reasons. You argument is stupid.

The fact is, right now Adobe Flash Player is forcing all HD videos on Steam to play in low resolution.
