Cant force Benq 2411z to 120hz on higher resolutions than 1024x768
Hi,

I am playing on a Benq 2411z and a Dell Precision M3800 (I know, its a workstation laptop and not optimized for gaming, but i still get 300 fps on 1024x768 and below).

I just want to try 1280x960 but i cant manage to run my monitor on 120hz on higher resolutions in cs go. I already got -refresh 120 and -freq 120 at the start options in cs go.
My Laptop got two graphics card, one nvidia which is used for games and the integrated card which is used by not high performance required tasks, which is most of the time. I dont know if this helps but i thought i should let you know.

Also i cant really create a custom resolution in my nvidia system control, because i only got the 3d-options and a nvidia support guy already told me that ill never be able to get all options, because of my integrated graphics card from intel. Also i am not able to create a custom resolution in my intel driver with 120hz, as its always shows the warning that my pc cant handle a 120hz resolution.

Maybe some of you guys also play on a pc with an two graphics card and already found a workaround for that, but basically any help or tips would help.

thank you very much, best regards and have awesome day guys !

Try going to Control Panel --> Screen Resolution, once there select the display and click on Advanced Settings, from there go to the Monitor tab and select the refresh rate.

the highest option i can choose there are 60hz, because my intel gpu is running windows and cant support anything higher than that.
mh... i guess nobody fixed this problem before already :/

You can always create a custom res with Custom Resolution Utility or directly in the registry. There's some risk of breaking the display by forcing too big refresh rates, but usually you can get 2-5 hz more.

Also I've never tried it, I can only say that making custom res on ATI card thru registry works.

I don't understand how your computer's inability to high refresh rate is a global problem.
i already tried the custom resolution utility but i cant even create a custom resolution there...

well i think that there are some gamers who play on a pc with an integrated graphic and they also have this problem
