Pictures not showing both in client and browsers

This is happening only with Steam, all other websites are fine.

My avatar picture and most (bur some random ones yes) of pictures and videos in the store and community pages cannot be seen, but strangely everything in friends and library windows is showning correctly. How come?

PS: the clients downloads the games as usual, my profile page can just show half of the pictures.

The weird thing is why just SOME of the pictures can be seen? Should be all or nothing

What anti virus program are you running? Recently a few of them have been known to block some of the Steam content servers as potential phishing sites, and that causes the content (avatar, pictures, etc) to not load properly all the time.

Avira, never had problem with it

Just because you have never had a problem with it before doesn't mean it was not updated to block a specific server automatically. They have their own lists of "known scam/phishing sites" and in the past month or so a handful of security softwares added one of the Akamai urls to the list and they suddenly started blocking things.

Restart your computer and disable the anti virus software you have running (only temporary). Then attempt to load your Steam client or website on your browser to see if it loads the content.

It could be an issue with your connection to the server, which could be anywhere from your computer to your ISP and beyond.

Do you have another computer to test it on? Log in on the other computer and see if the stuff loads, if it loads then it will point toward your computer being the cause. It it acts the same then it will point toward your network/hardware or your ISP.

Both laptops (with different antivirus and browser) and the ipad cannot show the pictures, but my android cellphone yes, and they're all linked via wifi to the same router.
