Billing Address for International American military bases

So I live on an American military base in Japan. My mailing/billing address city is APO, and the "state" is AP (for armed forces pacific). However, the option for "AP" is not present in the billing options box, and since I am connected to Japanese wifi, Steam thinks I live in Japan. So I can't reconcile the address with the wifi, and even if I could, there's not the correct address option. All this has conspired to render me unable to purchase anything through any payment method on Steam. Any suggestions?

I'm in Europe in AE. I selected credit card and entered my billing information. You get a prompt concerning your computer not being in the same country as your address, but I think you confirm to click through? Per their FAQ, enter CA for AP. At the very least, this worked for me. This is not the first time I had to adjust my information/CC stuff, though, so I'm thinking it's not a permanent solution. Or have you already tried that?

Sorry, I don't live in Japan anymore. Your best bet is probably to try a free VPN.

I'm not sure what may have changed since I got out but I simply left all the billing information as my home billing information instead of bothering with APO.

Sorry, I don't live in Japan anymore. Your best bet is probably to try a free VPN.

Don't use a vpn like that as it can result in your account getting banned as it violates the tos.

What if I use an APO address?
If you are serving abroad you can update your store country to the United States by using any payment method from the United States during the checkout process.

Sidenote, it's always best, when dealing with account information, not to necro really old threads since the information might've changed - it's better to just create a new thread.

Edit: Obviously, don't do the VPN thing, that's just asking for trouble.
