Αναφορά προβλήματος μετάφρασης
Started recently (a few days ago). Me and my friend (In sweden) keep dropping out of steam, and automaticly reconnect after a few minutes.
The friendlist disapear and the status is set to offline with the message that the servers are currently undergoing maintenance.
After a few minutes it kicks back and we can play together again (Dying light).
After 20-30 minutes it happens again, and repeats a few times.
It always start at 23.00 CET (11 pm)
Seems that maybe this is the time that US players log on and the steam servers are overloaded. But it really messes up out coop experience when everyone is continiously kicked out every 20 minutes.
Thanks in advance for any feedback
Regards
Daniel
We are several ppl having the same issue.
I have a new PC, no programs installed yet (except windows update, nvidia drivers et cetera). I have ran a complete virus scan, I have restarted my rounter.
Also worth noting is that I have forwarded the steam ports in the router, and during the "steam crash" I have full internet connection. (Tried it with an online broadband check at 3 different occations)
These are not guaranteed to work, but they are better than nothing. I suggest everyone here submits a ticket to Steam Support regarding the issue. https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php?category=
"Network is scanned with AVAST and also no implications on trouble in 192.168.1.1. Furthermore no implications of network failure on any other applications (Samsung smart TV, App-TV, Playstation, Iphone, Ipad et cetera) Which are all connected to the same network.
"No VPN active. Freshly formated and re-installed computor. Did 2 virus scans, one complete one start up.
No conflicting IP adresses when I check which IP-adresses my router is selecting. (dynamic IP)
Connection is 12mbit down, 10 mbit up. Constantly. (Used bredbandskollen.se)
I wont submit a ticket to steam. They have never helped in the past. And I wont waste my time with them again.
It is clearly not in their interest to actually get involved in these issues
I am pretty sure that it's an overload in traffic on their side.
They have a nominal value of servers to handle the load of players logging on. During peak hours some of us lose connection momentarily.
This is something that they really cant do anything about, if they don't want to set up more servers.
This is a choice they have made higher up in the hierarchy and it's based on in/out $$$.
It seems odd that they would make a sudden maintenance, and then activate them again within 3 minutes.
To start a new maintenance after a few minutes, to then activate them again.
That does not make sense.
Usually companies does the maintenance during low populated hours. That would be roughly 3-6 hours after.
TuComix- Yea, I think there are several thousand more experiencing this. But it only effects ppl who is using the friendslist to play games. Counter strike for example is not effected when this happens. You are still in your match.
Thus, these people aren't complaining here (yet).
I am positive that this is on their end, seeing that people all over Sweden are experiencing the same thing during the same period of time.
I dont think they are doing any matience, Whenever its down for me I check steamgaug.es to see if its down, and my friends always tell me they noticed no problem
