Pink screen - Tried everything to fix, no luck...
Hi, I just got stranded deep and when I started it, it got to the first game screen fine, clicked start new game and then it went pink with a white dot in the center. I tried the task manager method, restarted my computer many times, updated my drivers and when that didn't work I rolled back to my old drivers and re installed the new drivers... Still no luck, I've tried at least 5 different methods of fixing it and nothing is working. I have a quad core processor and 6 gigs of ram and I made sure my graphics card met the recommended requirements so I know it's not the computer but I can't seem to get the game working... What are my options here??

The only reason I posted a new thread about an old issue is because I've tried every possible 'solution' I could find and nothing has been successful so far!

No one?
Just did all that with no luck.
Hope I didn't waste my money! Absolutely nothing is working. They really should have tested the game more before releasing since it seems like the game only actually works for about half the people who bought it...
Intel g33/g31 express chipset family. After playing with the settings and then starting the game again, the screen is no longer pink... The screen is now light gray/white with bright white "wire frame' looking objects. just random little blotches of a lighter white color when you look around.. I can also still see the message box that says to find the trolly and make a cocktail. Hopefully this glitchy white screen is easier to fix, or better yet, hopefully continuing to tweak the settings will make this game work.

That videochip does not meet the system requirements by a mile. I'm amazed the game even starts and does not crash instantly.
It will never be able to run the game properly.
Where have you found this ancient piece of poop?

I'm sorry I have given the on board graphics card which only has like 250 mb of memory.. I am using a Geforce 8400 DDR3 1GB PCIe graphics card

While you may encounter performance problems in general, the videocard itself should run the game without a distorted image.
Which video driver version of the nVidia display driver is installed?

The newest version which is 341.44. I finally got stranded deep working but it has caused much bigger issues.... Now the game freezes and glitches and gives me blue screen.... I've uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers about 5 times to make sure it wasn't the card.. The card works for all my other games perfectly fine but It's not worth the blue screen of death. I think I'm just going to accept my loss and get rid of the game. Luckily it was only $15....

it sounds like your defaulting to the onboard graphics rather than the game using the nvidia gpu
Not sure if it's using my graphics card but it should be, it's installed correctly and being used. DXDIAG says it's using the Nvidia card, not the on board graphics. I am going to wait a few months until they start cracking down on bug fixes and then see if I can play the game. I have 2 gb of graphics memory and 1 gb of that is dedicated memory. The game played smooth and I got pretty far, survived for 9 days already but now it's bugging out and giving me blue screen....

The reason I think the game is the issue and not the card is because I was running the game in ultra mode with all quality and graphics setting set all the way up and it was smooth as could be, no lags but when I click on certain objects it freezes for about ten minutes and then the pc shuts down and gets blue screen.

That being said, I also tried to set all the graphics setting to the lowest possible settings. Turned the quality to Laptop, view distance to very near, turned off lens effects and all that fancy stuff and the game still ran very smooth (but looked crappy) and when I clicked on certain coconuts or I would click on a toolbox or a rock and it froze and crashed the pc.
